I think we are all pretty much in the same boat.  We live busy lives, and we have young children that require supervision when we are away.  Well, it is time to admit to ourselves that we need date nights.  Here are 10 signs you are in need of some serious one on one time with your partner.

10. You Dread your Daily Routine

Every day is the same old. Wake up, get dressed, gets kids dressed, feed, clean etc. Fill in the blanks with how your daily rolls out.

9.  You don't Know What Day of the Week it is

Admit it, it happens.  Your routine is so the same that you don't even know the weekend is here - and you don't have something to look forward to - because lets face it - what is Saturday when you have young kids? It is definitely not the same Saturday when you were childless

8.  You Forget that your Partner is also your Lover

Sometimes we focus so much on the team aspect of marriage that we forget that we have a lover - that person that we married does not have to dwindle away and just become a team mate - they need to be your lover again.

7.  Your Jogging Pants have Become your "Every-Dayers"

You forget what it is like to dress up and look nice for someone because all of your time is spent dodging food and cleaning diapers - like what is the point of dressing nice right?

6.  Your Children become your Sole Topic of Conversation

When we don't have anything going on in our lives outside of minding children, we have only them to talk about.

5.  You are on the 4th Season of a Series (and you only started watching a week ago)

4.  The Last Movie You Saw in the Theatre was "the Notebook"

Probably a date you went on with your partner before you were married or had kids.

3.  You are Unaware that Some Restaurants Require Dress Code

Because you are used to chains like East Side Mario's and Boston Pizza where kids menus are standard.

2.  You are Envious of Your Childless Friends

I am not saying you regret your choice to be a parent, I am just saying on certain occasions you find yourself admiring the freedom and frivolous lifestyle your childless friends enjoy.

1.  Finally...You Cannot Remember the Last Time You Went on a Date

'Nough said.

If you found yourself nodding your head or going mmmm-hmmm to two or more of these, go on a date - soon!  Don't wait too long, or you will end up becoming resentful and emotional.  Date nights are so important to the growth of any marriage - do it - do it now!
